Chairman of the Tata Trusts and MIT President discuss Tata Center research.

In January, students from the Tata Center had a chance to show their work to MIT president Rafael Reif and Mr. Ratan Tata in an intimate meeting in Mumbai. The meeting was a part of Reif’s tour of India, during which he also met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Reif and Tata used the occasion to remark on MIT’s long relationship with India, and the further strengthening of that relationship through the activities of the MIT Tata Center.

Tata Center projects highlighted during the session included water desalination and filtration, mobile health tools, and rural energy/water system planning.
