Sarah is a doctoral student in chemical engineering. Prior to attending MIT, she obtained a BS (2013) and MS (2014) in chemical engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Her research focuses on using microRNA and protein detection with microfluidics to develop affordable health care diagnostics for use in India. During her free time she enjoys sewing, playing the piano, or reading a good book.
