Stephen Lee / Technology & Policy Program

Stephen is a Master’s student in the Technology and Policy Program and Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. After receiving his Bachelor’s degrees in Economics as well as Materials Science & Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2013, Stephen worked in management consulting.

Stephen’s current research involves applying deep, learning-based approaches for building footprint extraction from satellite imagery, and developing novel methodologies for estimating the electrification status of buildings. He is also exploring decision-theoretic approaches to infrastructure and information planning in resource-constrained settings. Stephen is very interested in energy and climate policy, data science, and pizza.
