Mark is a PhD Candidate in the mechanical engineering department. He has SB and MS degrees from the same department, in addition to work experience in the fields of automotive engineering, engineering education, product development consulting, and technology development in the developing world. Originally from Chicago, he lived and worked on four continents before returning to MIT for graduate school. His research interests span system control theory, sensors and instrumentation, user centered design, manufacturing, and the applications of these fields in developing world contexts.
