Jaichander Swaminathan / Mechanical Engineering

Jaichander is a PhD student developing energy efficient membrane distillation systems for wastewater concentration. He received his S.M. in Mechanical Engineering at MIT working on modeling the effect of inorganic salts on membrane fouling. Prior to joining MIT, he graduated with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His previous research experience includes modeling heat transfer in biological systems and medical imaging.
