Adam Rieth / Chemistry

Adam is a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry. A native of Chapel Hill, Adam received his BS in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina in 2012. His early interest in energy technologies have led him to build biodiesel processors in high school and study organic photovoltaics in college. After graduating from University of North Carolina, Adam worked for a private research organization, where he continued work with dye-sensitized solar cells and electrochemical devices for water oxidation and carbon dioxide reduction. His current research constitutes development of materials for energy-efficient heating and cooling applications.
