Video: Mobile diagnostic kit for health workers in India

Researchers from MIT and India’s Chest Research Foundation collaborate on tools to empower doctors and community health workers.

Pulmonary diseases like pneumonia, COPD, asthma, and tuberculosis are one of the leading causes of death in India, and a major challenge to doctors and community health workers who may not be trained to diagnose them.

Researchers at the MIT Tata Center and the Chest Research Foundation are collaborating to support these healthcare workers by creating mobile, smartphone-based tools to help screen and diagnose pulmonary diseases.
